| Hello gang! I hope
everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. I have been doing ok. Just been receiving offers
and exploring my career options as my WCW release will take effect this week (May 31). I
have been training extremely hard and feel that I am in the best shape that I have ever
been in a long time. I have had some time to clear my head and to start exploring and
making steps forward in my career. Thank you wrestling fans for all the nice cards and
emails that you guys have sent me showing your support. Thank you also goes out to the
internet media for recognizing my situation and appreciating what this sport means to me
and the great fans that are behind it. However in my departure from WCW, I want to wish
the company and its talent all the best. With the right vision and direction in using
their tremendous talent base, I hope that they can step up to the plate again someday and
make it exciting again (for the wrestlers and the business).
I will be wrestling a former WCW wrestler Bobby Blaze this
Saturday Night (June 3) at The National Guard Armory in his home town of Ashland Kentucky.
Blaze, who was trained by the great Dean Malenko, and I are very familiar with each other
as we both wrestled years ago for the now defunct Smoky Mountain Wrestling (which he is a
former SMW champ as I was former SMW TV champ). I look forward to locking up with this
great athlete again.
My new website (www.thestro.com) is doing really well! The
response from all of the fans have been tremendous! This is a great site that my
webmasters Kat and Bizzybunny have done an outstanding job on. Fans, stop by and check it
out. It has something for everyone and please give Kat and Bizzybunny credit for their
well earned efforts. I will be in the next WCW video from EA sports (WCW2000) which will
be coming out in the fall. I have two Maestro characters in it (the old and I snuck in the
new Stro resemblance too..hehe). So be looking out for it in video stores soon.
Would like to commend Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit on an
outstanding match at Judgement Day. Both guys displayed a tremendous hard-fought effort.
Given Benoit always brings on the intensity, but it was also good to see Jericho step his
game up a notch. Speaking of Game, I would also would like to commend HHH and The Rock's
phenomenal performance in the ironman match-up. HHH has always impressed me with his
work-ethic. I remember even when he was wrestling for Turner, he always gave a great
effort and truly cares about this business. My hat's off to you bro, you are a perfect
example of successful perseverance. Speaking of Hunter, I had the pleasure a couple of
month's ago to meet the legendary Killer Kowalski (who has trained such talents as Chyna,
HHH, Saturn, etc) at a WCW house show in Boston. After my match that night with Villano
IV, he told me that he really liked my ring work and shook my hand (Man, if Granduncle
George were here to witness that). It was a great honor.
Well, I am off to go train some more for now, Take care of
yourselves and just remember that I really appreciated you guys and will continue to give
it 110% for you all as well as the honor of the sport.
GOD bless
